I could define a Geek of Nature by my dual-path scientific training, as both a marine invertebrate zoologist and a computer scientist. But I consider it more an outlook on life. Don’t be afraid to explore new things and hobbies, geeky or cool. Find your inner peace on a mountaintop, standing in a river, exploring the low tide line, or working at an intricate craft such as stranded colourwork knitting. Challenge yourself to continuously embrace learning, be it keeping delicate freshwater shrimp, traditional archery, a new style of cooking, or something completely different. Be an observer of and a participant in the life of the natural world all around you.
